It would be a good idea to have a poster in the classroom mentioning students' etiquette and what they should expect from the class. I created this infographic (poster) for CLB 4-5 students. It contains both teacher and student's etiquette.

student's etiquette: 

• Take responsibility for your learning 
• Attend every class 
• Get to class on time
• Your classmates deserve your respect and support
• Contribute to the Class Discussion When Appropriate
• Come to class prepared
• Turn in your work on time
• Turn mobile phones off

Teacher's etiquette:

• Address Students Politely
• Follow Through with Decisions
• Create a Positive Environment
• Avoid Favoritism
• Generate Classroom Energy
